Hello,
Could anyone tell me at what pressure the later, non-adjustable valve should open? I originally thought that it was around 5 bar, but someone is telling me between 10-12 bar. This seems extremely high to me, but I'm certainly no expert. Thanks.
I have no direct knowledge of RSR motors, but 5 bar (72.5 psi) seems a little low for a 911 relief valve so by default I would guess the units are 10 bar.
Perhaps, it means nothing but the GT oil pressure gauge only goes to 10 bar.
I thought that i'd post a couple of pictures from Armando's site of the valve I'm talking about. The p/n is 901.107.017.00.
I've come across these two Behr oil coolers on Armando's site. The first is a 1970 914/6 GT and the second is a 1973 RSR. Both are only rated at 10 bar, so I have to think that the pressure relief valves should pop-off below 10 bar, not above. At least for this period. I haven't been able to confirm what the pressure rating was on the 1974 RSR oil coolers which had an in-built pressure relief valve.

Just checking following the holidays if anyone has any additional information?
