914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Delorto DRLA40 and the chokes

Posted by: Mike D. Jan 16 2011, 06:27 PM

I'm setting up a motor with Delorto DRLA40s, and they have a mechanical chokes. Sitting on the motor the choke levers point in opposite directions. I would have to run two extra cables and set them up, bla bla bla.
Anybody ever use these and if so what did you do? plus I have two different types.

I ran 36 DRLAs in Boston, MA for years on my primary vehical. Never needed them...

Yeah needed and wanted are two different things.

I have chokes on my Weber 40's. They work when operated by hand. Always kind of wanted to cable them up to make them operational. Never did though.
