914World.com _ 914World Garage _ KYB rear shocks models

Posted by: Valy Feb 7 2011, 12:18 PM

I've seen 2 different models of KYB rear shocks: W0133-1611933 and KYKG9003.
I'm not sure if those are really different or just the same with different part numbers. confused24.gif

Does anyone know the difference?

Also, should I bother with KYB (since I'm cheap and have them in front) or pass and pay a bit more for the Bilstein?
I have no rear torsion bar so I've seen some comments that the hard KYB might help in the rear, is this correct?

Thanks.

KYBs are Junk - if you saw them side by side with a Koni or Bilstein, you would never put them on a car

The W0133-1611933 models suck just slightly less than the extremely shitty KYKG9003 models. biggrin.gif

Always go with the best shock you can afford on these little beasts. It will literally be a night and day difference in your handling. Bilsteins are excellent shocks.
