One of my CV joints has a spider gear that's different than the others. I took it off and I'm not sure which side should face the bevel washer (i.e. be inside the CV boot).

Here are pics of both sides of the spider gear:

The beveled side goes next to the washer. The circlip has to have a flat surface to snap against.
