Hi All -
Getting ready to order the time cert stuff to repair an exhaust stud on my 2.7. They sell many depths - does anyone know the correct size?

Thanks!!

IIRC the 16mm is what you want.

Told ya you can borrow my set Scott. Just buy some 8.x1.25 inserts. Actually, if all you need is one don't even bother buying inserts. I have 3 or 4.

You need at least 8mm of thread engagement. Anything more than that is a bonus. HOWEVER, be aware that the design of the TimeSert requires room for the driver/installation tool to extend substantially beyond the insert to lock in the threads. If you use a long insert, the blind hole won't be deep enough to allow the insert to be "set". That's why I use Helicoils in blind holes. BTW, I have a drill fixture that I would rent out. It places the hole correctly and aligns the drill and the installer so the insert is straight.
