I am planing to covert from tail to side. I want to be sure that I have all the parts.
so far I have the following:
transmission,
shift rod,
rod pin to trany
engine mount bar with hole
I was told that, unlike my current tail shift, the bar is bolted straight to the shasis without a mount or busshing using a shorter screw, but I will need mounts to bolt it to the engine.
I ordered 2 short bolts and the engine mount.
Am i missing anything?
I never removed a shifter before, will the rod fit straight into the shifter?
I was looking at other thread and they get me all confused.
shifter
shift rod in tunnel
adapter shift bushing for firewall
shift coupler with new bushings
shift rod from firewall to trans
crown bushing side shift pod
side shift console bushing goes in side shift end coupler to shift ball
side shift end coupler
Missing is the rubber mounts that attach to the center of the x-bar and the Late motor mounts that attach to the eng case.
Dont forget new cone screws!
NO.
I saw someone selling a side-shift style shifter for $25. here the other day
Here's the link: http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=116756
