Hi all could I get some input on my 2.0 litre engine,I would like to get more horsepower out of the engine while maintaining the FI system. What I would like to look at mainly are the heads and pistons and exhaust, what possibilities are there and are there other heating systems were I to go to other straight through pipes such as the Kerry Hunter system offered for about 520. I would appreciate any input the group has to offer.
Best Regards

There are a few upgrades for the 2.0L:
1. Heads-rebuilt properly and have them ported and flowed. The exhaust can be cleaned up and ported some carefully.
2. Intake manifolds- match port them to the heads
3. Clean or rebuild the injectors
4. Plug air injection system
5. 96mm P&C's
6. Early heat exchangers (73-74) for 2.0L
7. Bursch or Triad mufflers
8. Dyno tune the Djet FI

You can squeeze out about 110-115hp out of a 2.0L or 2.1L

I've given up on the idea of a 110-120hp 2L engine unless I need a rebuild. Bring lots of cash for the head work and the parts for this "upgrade" and if you are spending that much you might as well crack the case and do the rest of the job on the motor.
