My insurance company has 3 descriptions for a 914 on their web site: Convertible, Roadster and 2 door.
What's the proper description?
Insurance costs are highest to lowest (Convert, Roadster & 2 door)
On my registration, insurance and when I had the car put on a stated value policy it was always listed as a convertible.
Targa or roadster.
Just kidding, convertible. I believe a cab is a ragtop.
I'd say 2 door. It's not a roadster or a convertible IMHO.
i believe 2 door is proper, and probably cheaper.
Factory literature has described the 914 as a roadster... (Though, much later, Boxster ads claimed that the Box was the first mid-engine'd roadster since the 550 series.)

My insurance lists mine as a roadster.
mine calls it a targa.

It was reg as a Convert in BC (PO), now it's a roadster. Just came back from the insurance place.
Tonight I drive it.
Be honest, it is a two door. Of the three options, a two door insures for less, and face it, it is not a convertible (no soft top), and its not a roadster, as roadsters as everyone knows are open cars with no rear window. Thus the two door discription is the most honset one, and the one that will save you on your premiums.
Do not give the insurance any reason to up your rates.
