Day 1, Bill Pickering just missed TTOD with a 40.7 sec run, difference of only a few thousandth's.
Nice course with 400 yard slalom backstraight.

wow, what a great weekend!
2 days of AX (two separate zone events over 2 days at the same location) ...
saturday, we ran the course CCW, sunday we ran the same course CW!
i'm really starting to get the hang of it
i got within 2-4 seconds of the 2.0L BP guys that were on slicks.
in my 1.8L and street tires.
the track was VERY fast, including a 300+ yard STRAIGHT, HP ruled the event ...
i had a blast,
Andy
it looks like it was held out by Stead airport; is this the case? i have parachuted there. it would be a lovely venue in which to watch... clear high altitude air, filled with the sound of roaring aircooled engines! and then a drive home across my favorite mountain range, the sierra nevada. i can see why you are enthused, SirAndy! nice times, by the way.

great pictures! thanks for posting them. oh, and a happy belated birthday to the lovely lady!
Jason's cabin look like the one from The Godfather 2.
Last night around 6:00 I saw an older red 911 on HWY 680 with a strange platform mounted with two slicks where the whale tail would be. I assumed he was coming back from Reno. I would have been there if I thought my car would have made it over the hill.
Here come the action shots!

Reno. Way to much fun!
Perfect weather at 5,000 feet (Stead AFB), great people, the world's most perfect autoX venue, lots of really fast zoomies and luckly for all of us Brad was there to fix all our cars. I think at least 4 four cars owed their weekend to Brad and an oil filter from HPH.
And we got to watch everyone at the hotel attending the Gay Rodeo. Never a dull moment.
And the BURP made it over the hill (and back) to Reno without catching fire.

Randal,
You're car looked like it was dialed in. Very balanced around the tight stuff and staying straight down the long back straight slalom. I'd say your setup is very close to being done. With the setup and clutch done, you can now have fun again just driving the living s..t out of that thing!
It was alot of fun this weekend!

Bill,
Nice to have a car that works, no question. Now I just need to get a new pair of those 250 compound tires.
Interesting, but the 275 compound tires never worked anything like the 210's. I ran the 210 (after sitting unbagged for a year) on Saturday PM and after forgetting about the first run (like on glass) the tires actually started coming back. They felt much better on Sunday.
I have some preliminary results, but I have to figure out how to post them.
Bump..

Just trying to generate some interest.

what a blast from the past!
bills old car (now felix's concept car!), trekkor's car as stock, andy's car with the underdog engine, and randal when he actually had a running car!
