914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Certificate of Authenticity oddity

OK - I know the C of A is far from accurate everytime but mine looks good right to the "Optional Equipment" entry.

Equipment for Norway

Does anyone know what this is supposed to mean?

Hey T.C.

Could be - if this car is the rare "Norway Special" I am selling it to Rick Ollah - I think it is still snowing at his house!

Goofy C of A's....

There is special equipment required for Norway cars. Don't recall exactly what it is but I've read it here on this board... Like headlight washers I think... (among other things)

Not odd at all ...

Norwegian and Swedish equipment are pretty commonly listed on the CoA.

So far, i don't think anyone has been able to completely identify what those options actually include.

Yes we do! Exactly! Don't yet know why it should have special meaning though.

Regardless of what Eric says, I do not have factory mudflaps! Also do not have rear fog indicators. Not on my COA, but if the mud flaps were.........

Do you have a flat surface on top of your heat exchangers where you could warm up some lefse and lutefisk?

I DO!!.... seems a bit oily but maybe that's intended to keep the lutefisk from sticking. Sort of a self Pam'ing heat exchanger.

windshield ice scrapper;
ice saw;
three cans of whale blubber, with a long hollowed out piece of wood and wick;
ear muffs;
face muff;
twenty-two year old female, for sharing body heat in emergencies;
white-out glasses;
three layer, progressively thicker socks;
two finger glove shells with wool inserts;
an emergency ice fishing kit (a coil of line and several hooks);
polar bear pelt seat covers;
seal club;
snowmobile track drive conversion system;
case of 5wt oil;
brief with prepaid airline tickets to Canary Islands

Hell any oil would just make it taste better.

Being mostly Norwegian, I'd love it if my car was Norwegian equipped.

If you buy a C of A you might find out that the Optional Equipment does indeed list "Equipment for Norway" - even if we don't know what that means......

In Europe, Porsche does not call them Certificates of Authenticity, but something like Adoption Certification

Hey Scotty,

I will look (but it will take time) as I parted out a 74 that had the heated rear glass (all torn up) and I'm sure I saved all the switches from the car. It is yours if I find it.
