914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Goodyear 30R9 Fuel Hose

Posted by: 76-914 May 5 2011, 02:30 PM

After speaking w/ Ron (aka Slits) beerchug.gif last Saturday I thought that I should run this up the flagpole and see who salutes. If you missed the previous threads on this, here is a quick primer. This hose was developed to handle the addititives we now find in our petro. It is appv'd for carbs and FI up to 100 psi. I have installed some of this in my current 914 rebuild and will replace the existiing hose on my 76 within the next 18 mo's. We will probably see some 15% ethanol mixtures in the very near future. I'm guessing about 12' of 1/4" per car. The 30R9 is available in 25' & 50' rolls. I realize that there will be a need for some 5/16" (8mm) as well so post up your wants and needs. Here is the link w/ spec's,

Also, I would like to order this silicone hose for my air intake runners. I ran these on my plane for 8 yr's and they were in cherry condition the day that I sold it. This is a big improvement over the stock sleeve's. These are available in 36" length so one piece should do 3 engines. Check it out here,

And finally, another source for heater ducting hose for our air cooled engines,

So, if any members are interested, let me know and I'll start the negotiations. It looks like this for a group buy:
4 cars per a 25' roll of fuel hose
3 cars per a 36" section of intake runner sleeving
The air ducting is cheap and comes in small quantities so your own your own here. If you have any questions, use the "contact us" feature at the bottom of the page on any of these links. They are very responsive to our questions.

I'll buy in .... I thought it was 3.8" & 5/16". Anyway, if it's $4.00 per foot or thereabouts, I want 12.5' of each.

Damn, I forgot to salute finger.gif
