Hope you're feeling better Jeff beerchug.gif

Posted by: matteyp May 10 2011, 05:08 AM

Wait mice actually peed in your car jon?? That is just weird. I thought the peegreen was just cuz your car is pee green...silly me lol. I once found an entire family of baby mice inside the seat of one of my dads old bikes. That's the strangest ive seen ;p

Posted by: J P Stein May 10 2011, 06:49 AM

Be careful.
Haunta virus can be contracted by breathing in mouse droppings. It can ruin your life.

Posted by: sixnotfour May 10 2011, 07:30 AM

the 914 was flushed with clorox and pine-sol a year ago, its safe now .The person I bought it from told me he had cleaned it all up , well no the day before RRC years ago I found a dried up mouse on top of the 8 track player, Same guy that had the gas tank cleaned but didnt change fuel filter ? figured that out @rrc hotel.
, Then I saw the viper green 76 I have now and never looked back.

peegreen is a nice car except for the pee. I threw out all the interior also to avoid above nasty's

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 2 2011, 10:29 PM

You can. This stuff is really cool and allows for almost whatever you want to do.

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 5 2011, 09:25 PM

Jon,

Nice work! Exactly what brand of rubberized coating did you apply?

Thanks,

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 5 2011, 09:42 PM

It's called Raptor liner from U-Pol. It was $100 for the kit which included the gun to shoot the stuff. It's very easy to apply.

Posted by: JRust Jul 6 2011, 01:30 PM

What's with all those extra holes? Just you going crazy with your weight saving confused24.gif . The floor look great man beer.gif

Well, I saw this done in someone else's car and thought it looked cool. Yes, I want to save as much weight as I can but this was done more out of being silly laugh.gif .

This car is going to be at 1800 lbs with a hundred or so taken from up high and placed down low beerchug.gif All in time.

Thanks for the compliment beerchug.gif

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 12 2011, 10:11 AM

So I have very little to do to have the interior finished. Well, in the grand scheme of things. I wasn't sure what I was going to do for my steering wheel when my best friend handed me this:

...I was wondering where you were going with the new 914. What is your vision of this car Jon ?

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 12 2011, 10:41 AM

SCCA GP 1.8l 1800 lb 914 beerchug.gif .

Hoping to campagne it next year but need the 1.8l engine built. The car is getting very close to where it needs to be but I only have the 2.0l in there for now. The 2.0l will at least give me an idea of how the car is handling until we get the 1.8l built right.

Interior is very close now beerchug.gif

Jon

What brand are your coilover callers?

Looks like a nice kit you found

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Aug 22 2011, 08:10 PM

Rebel Racing. I purchased everything from Jonathan at GPR. He's a good source for this stuff beerchug.gif

Posted by: jmill Aug 22 2011, 08:27 PM

I bought almost the same stuff with the exception of the rears. Let me know what you think of the Rebel front bushings. I just test fit mine and they are slightly larger than the A arm. Granted I bead blasted my arms and there isn't any paint on them. If I'm lucky the paint will snug them up a bit. Did GPR give you the bolts and special washers to go along with them?

On a side note Rebel is going to come out with a rear kit shortly. I'm waiting to see what they come up with before I go with the Elephant stuff.

Attached image(s)
Attached Image

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Aug 22 2011, 08:33 PM

Yeah, Jonathan gave me everything smile.gif

I would like to wait until Rebel comes out with the rear as he does very nice work and is a great guy, from what I am told. I just went with Elephant because Chuck does make nice stuff. I know a metalic bushing isn't ideal but it is good for now.

Rears are actually something custom from a local member... once he drops them off smile.gif

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 13 2012, 11:49 PM

I haven't updated this in a while. Here is a picture I took today while I rolled it out of the garage. I'm waiting on a few things before I can take it out on the road but it is very close smile.gif

barf.gif barf.gif barf.gif This reminds me of a 72 Saab Sonett III I bought in Santa Fe a few years ago. It had been sitting on a farm and looked solid from underneath. What lurked under the carpet, in the dash, bellow the gas tank and about every place out of view gave me nightmares blink.gif Pounds of mouse crap and dead mice every where barf.gif barf.gif barf.gif The piss rusted the floors of coarse sad.gif I stepped away, let the car sit a while before I decided to tackle it. I thought I got it all out, but failed to open the blower fan box. I got a nice dusting on my first real drive barf.gif sad.gif

Needless to say, the thought of the Hantavirus gave me plenty of anxiety the following weeks. sad.gif

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Jul 14 2012, 12:25 AM

I pulled two mice skeletons from out of the cross member of the rear. I have been told there where four or five others in the car as well. I guess it is really amazing that thecar has no rust issues in the main areas. This car could have been a gem for someone who cared to restore it. I like to autocross so it was screwed the second it went into my garage biggrin.gif

Hey Jon, what seat are you running? Contemplating options for my project. I was going to use a stock seat with modified bolsters but now I'm rethinking that direction.

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Feb 5 2013, 03:34 PM

Hey Mark, running the Sparco Evo2.

So, It has been a while since I have been on here. The last four months have been a little busy as I have been remodeling my back garage into a master bedroom so we can get the kids into their own rooms. What use to be a garage now looks like this smile.gif

The 914 is finally back in the remaining garage and I will get to start back working on it when I return from my trip to San Francisco next week. piratenanner.gif

Hey Jeff, any chance you will be able to help me soon?

There's a reason I didn't post pics poke.gif

That and my brother, who is a lieutenant colonel in the US Army special forces was the one directing everything and floating the bill. I was simply following what he said to do. That whole he can kill me with his little finger thing and all blink.gif . He's the oldest and I am the youngest in the family. He has been stationed out here for 6 months while he does some schooling. So this was his project really.

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Feb 7 2013, 10:03 AM

Yes I will but not in my car. Not sure what I am going to drive this year actually. Maybe I'll find out Saturday.

My car should be ready in a few months.

Posted by: PeeGreen 914 Apr 1 2013, 03:06 PM

Found out what I'll be driving this year piratenanner.gif

The teener will be rolled out when it is ready. Not going to rush it.

Bought this M3 with the wifes blessing... prodding... so she can come out and autocross as well.

Peegreen will be on the road soon enough though...

Hey Jeff, any time the next few weeks? smile.gif Finally have a little time free... sort of.

1) chrome w/black tops
b) body color w/black tops
III) completely black
