914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Car began to idle real low after a burn today..

Posted by: speed metal army May 13 2011, 09:05 PM

I pulled in the driveway, let the car idle while I opened up the garage(2 mins)
Got in and stepped on it a bit, backed off and the idle dropped to 400-500 rpms, just barely running.I thought ,maybe no big deal,so I parked it and let it cool.A half hour later, went outside, fired her up.Low idle.
Pulled the big vac hose off the decel valve and plugged it,Idles normally! confused24.gif Plug the hose back in,and the car acts like it always has.Idling say 900-1000.
Was the valve sticking?or?I did a bit of searching, and It seems that if it packs it in,I could live without it.
What do you guys think happened there?
Thanks fellas! smile.gif

Turns out my hoses were routed incorrectly!Brads site steered me in the right direction.Ill test it tomorrow.Side port was hooked up to vaccuum.Valve seat was probably stuck? confused24.gif
