Also here is some info on how to make the Compliance Sticker
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=93238&hl=Compliance+Sticker
Thanks for the quick help to all. . . looks like 04/70 is accurate. . that fits the production date on my engine parts and other casting numbers. .
I agree that this is a compliance sticker for U.S. cars and not a VIN plate. So I do not believe someone commits a criminal act when they sand this off during a repaint. Of course opinions will vary.
I hope that someone is going to make a replacement sticker that accurately reflects all of the data contained on the original stickers for our cars. No fraud here. I would definitely buy one for my car and out it in my file for the day when the car is done.
I have come across shops that make these replacements stickers but they are pictures of the sticker and not perforated stickers. I want the perforations so the body color shows through as intended.
OK guys, can you figure out when mine was built??? 914043224
PCNA's COA & their Kardex records may have the build date - usually do, but some 914 & older P-car factory records were/are less than perfect today, whether 6 or 4!
Well, that COA is no help. It has one digit missing as well. It is one of the last 3 digits, but cannot determine which one. 9140432xxx
9140432240 06/70 Can you get the chassis # from the rear trunk please 132xxx
