Oh 914 gurus...
I need to verify if this is the oil sandwich plate with the built-in thermostat. I think it is -- there's a gizmo with a little spring inside -- but no part #'s marked on the friggen thing anywhere. The Mocal data sheet isn't really helpful.

yeah, that one seems to look like it has a t-stat in there.
Thanks...I thought/hoped so, but wasn't positive. I figured the non-tstat version might have a filter bypass or something. Never really saw one of these puppies up close before.
Chris, The non-thermostat one does not have that black "nut" and internal plunger(thermostat).

I thought mocal only made billet/machined sandwiches? This one looks like it's cast.
It's definitely cast. I haven't seen info that says they're machined from billet. This one is NIB (new-in-bag in this case).
Reason for the thread is that I'm sellling it (from my pre-6-conversion parts stash) and I wasn't 100% sure what it is.
