914World.com _ 914World Garage _ My new job (vintage cars related )

Posted by: johannes Jun 29 2011, 03:42 AM

Some of you have noticed that I like to draw 914's. This is sort of my job because I am a comics artist. I am starting a new project that will feature cars and competition in the sixties. I have set up a new website where you can follow the project and watch the stuff I am doing. Hope you will enjoy. By the way there is almost no chance that those books I am working on will be available in english ... sad.gif

Here is the address of the blog

The action takes place between 1955 and 1963. There is no chance to see a 914, but I will do my best to stuff Porsche cars everywhere. Like this

Excellent. The sepia tone gives just the right vintage flavor.

Those quick sepia colors are only for the online blog as the original drawings have not been colored yet. This is the last step in the job. Later I will apply color to the drawings just like on the yellow 356 one.

I hear ya, but it's like black and white photography. It carries it's own message of time and place and let's the viewer fill in the colors in their own imagination. Kind of like Ansel Adams prints.

I'd love a set of sepia scenes.

I tried with my feet, but it works better with my hands... the right one gives the most satisfying result. biggrin.gif

Gustl, I need a favour, I e-mailed Mittelmotor to ask them the db levels of the nice shiney muffler that fits our 914's but have never heard back. The part number is 0,1336C Exhaust High-grade Steel 2,0 I am wondering where my e-mail went or who read it and maybe didn't know what to do with it. Could you contact them? If this muffler is as good as it looks I will buy one, but not if it is real noisy. Thanks.

I am afraid, the only way will be to order from Amazon.fr
If you have an account at amazon.com (USA) there is no problem to order, your login and password should work.

No problem - I've ordered plenty of things from amazon.co.uk vs. amazon.com, so I don't see why this shouldn't work just as well.

I posted a link to your blog on Facebook. Hoping that will help spread the word a tiny bit further...
