Hi all PNW teeners,
Rich D has offered to host a work day BBQ party at his place on July 16th.
We will be welding on my car, installing a motor (or two), getting his LE sorted out and other stuff. Lots to do, so bring your work gloves.

Rich also has an abundance of parts for sale. Bring your wish list and your wallet (mit cache) so you can pick up those desperatly needed parts.

If you are in, let me know. I will provide burgers/dogs and snacks. BYOB (beverage).

I will take a final count on the 13th for those attending so we can have enough food.

Rich lives in the Mill creek area and it is easy access to the freeway.

The NT is the big NW event. You will see some very cool and fast cars here. However, a BBQ with the guys is always fun

I NEED a front trunk OEM seal in good condition. Anyone have one?

You definitely should. Rich and Chris are awesome guys. If you've never met them before this is a perfect op to do so. Plus all the NW guys seem to be some of the best 914 folk you can find.

Yeah I am glad to say that I have already met Rich. He's a cool dude. And whats up with a bunch 'o us teeners being into bikes? I mean it only seems fitting, 914's are like the 125 cc 2stroke gp racers of old in my opinion, light and fast around the corners. I guess a lot of us have similar interests.

Jon its too bad you won't be hangin around.

The wedding turned out to be Friday night! That means I can make it. Like to thing the creamsickle would be running by then, but I think it will be in the paint booth that weekend for some final touch ups.

What is the start time for this GTG?? Can someone PM me the address so I can google it.

I'm going to be down at Shoreline Community College for the VW Vintage Meet in the morning and early afternoon. I'd be up for another GTG after that. I'll be in my old bus though, so no pokin' fun at the slow-guy, O.K. 'Course you don't get slower than jack-stands, so I guess I'm good!!

It'll be me and probably my son, Josh, but we'll have to see if he makes it.

I'm going to try and make it. I'm on a short leash this weekend with a wedding Sat at 5. I already tried to get out of it but, that got me in deep dodo, so I know I won't be able to stay past 3. It would be nice to see you guys, I'll keep you posted.

Swing by in the AM hours, that's what I plan on doing. It's my kids 18th B-Day Saturday so my time is limited as well. But it's always fun to hang with the other locals.

Plus I need some 914 related stuff to just dig into. I've been w/o a 914 for a good month now.

Can I bring a car to work on if it isn't a 914? It needs lots of work!

I just spent $$$$$ on a car for my daughter ... '87 VW Cabriolet. What I do for my kids!?!?!?!?! One more reason the Teener doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Clutch pedal goes to the floor (cable is ok?)
Blown cooling hose
No brakes (unless the pedal is pumped a bunch)

It runs and rolls .... bit will not go or stop by itself.

To Do list:
The short version
1. install 2.0 Motor into 914
2. weld floorpans
3. Move some 914's around
4. put new petronic's in Rich's LE. and trouble shoot running issues
5. Weld center console
6. Weld reinforce kit into car
7. Clean my new motor and prep for "work"
8. eat....
9. weld some more stuff..
10. Grind welds

It looks like I will be stopping by sometime after noon/1pm. I'll be bringing a couple friends with me that are driving down in my bus to the Shoreline show.

I'll be at Shoreline from about 9:00am until after noon. I'll be parking my black '66 E-Z Camper inside the show area. I'll have a cooler with barley-pop if anyone wants one. Just to be clear; it's never too early for a brew at a car show. . .

Told you so. I think it was the positive vibe I sent out that put it over the top. Lucky I didn't actually get my hands in there or the outcome might have been drastically different.
