One lap in a 914 (1.7 or 2.0 ?)

Wow... that 356 at 6:53 must have been a tad warmed over!
Cool! That's livin!
Fantastic! That track is so fun to drive with "normal" cars. I can not wait to get there with my 914 some day (or year). Been there with my bike and Quattro,
The very best track I know!
That's a 1.7.
He has a couple other videos on YouTube.
Would love to drive a 914 on that track.
Guess Forza3 will have to do for now.
I hate to be that guy who criticizes someone else's driving in a video, but oh my god he was slow, had terrible lines and I think he spent more time looking in his mirror than straight ahead. But then again he may not have been trying to go very quick and/or may have been a ring newbie. It reminded me of a 6/10th touring lap. It was nice to see a 914 on the ring however.
Wow ... didn't any of you realise that he needs a windage tray his oil pressure light comes on at around 2:30 like the 8th or 9th turn after the start finish.
.....Cool cruise
might be slow, but having a good time, I doubt he would want to be this guy

I don't think that's the correct way to enter that corner.

Welcome Sven . Very nice 914 you have !
Are you member of a german 914 club ?

Nice looking car, Sven! I've always loved the baby-moon hubcaps.

thank you guys for the nice reception.
the green hell is from my home town only 75 km
@ Johannes: yes, I am member of two German 914 clubs but the other 914 on the third picture are from my local vintage car club
I am in the VW-Porsche 914 Deuschland Club and the VW-Porsche 914 Club Westfalen
@ SirAndy: das ist aber auch in Deutschen Foren so
Sven... uh... what Andy said. I think.
Welcome!!!
Sven,
Welcome to the website. For what it's worth, I thought your driving was appropriate given you were on a stock set of tires, didn't have a helmet, obviously no roll cage, Armco barrier that you can touch sometimes, and you passed your fair share of cars too. Looked like a lot of fun to me, and somehow I don't think you were racing anybody.
Great looking car too.
Dion
Welcome to the forum Sven! Sorry about giving you a hard time about your driving.
Richard
Hey Sven,
I would love to take my car on the trac, I drive about 100+ miles every day with the pedal pegged, and I only get abot 2 turns on the whole trip It does look really fun.
Hi Sven, your car is beautiful!! I am jealous, I wish I could drive there too!! Cheers
Hallo Sven,
willkommen.
Svens car has a special family history and is restored by himself.
So it is more than understandable that he drove that 914 carefully.
Especially with this setup. That's a DD and fun car and not a race car.
I think he drove as fast as possible and and as fast as necessary.
Wilco
Sven,
back with 914er in 2012 to nürburgring

Nicely done Sven, and thank you for sharing this with us.
Beautiful, immaculate. That is one sharp car, Sven. Oh, We're not as bad as Andy makes us out to be.
I really enjoyed the video. I also liked the pass on the other 914!
Richard
Love the car and track!
Btw did you have old driving jacket or "overall" on? At least sleeves looked that way.
I wish i was there! Cool stuff Sven! From Canada!
Heya Sven, welcome back! I guess you had a friend take some pics this time, much appreciated since my work computer refuses to have anything to do with Flash, so no video for me.
Feel free to join in the madness here - you *can* visit us more than once a year, you know.
My Deutsch is *far* too rusty to compete with SirAndy, so I'll just say Tschuss!
