For more than three years now, the locals in Sacramento and other hardcore teener guys from out of town as far away as Oregon have gotten together once a month to munch on a donut and chat about our beloved 914's. Last week I was handed the keys to our new home in Reno and by month's end, Nicho will be starting school...
Let's get together for one last time! August 27th, 9am to noonish. Family Donuts and Deli - 9045 Fair Oaks Blvd at the corner of San Juan Avenue and Fair Oaks Blvd.

Hey Rob, I'll come see you one last time. John
I'll try to make it too!
Hey, how about creating a bi-annual Sacramento to Reno run up 50 through
south shore and down into Reno...that would be a good two-day thing over a
weekend...
If I were out there, I would enjoy it.
I will probably have a Reno Porsche Family Reunion but as far as I know, it would only be me Z, and Rand... I am thinking of organizing an annual Targa Tahoe Event that will be a drink in the parking lot thing on Saturday, and drive through the Sierras on Sunday. That would be through the Sierra-Nevada Region PCA though.
Thanks for coming guys. I hope someone picks up the banner and keeps it going... I would come over when I could.
Funny, going to Reno my Tahoe took 3/4 tank of gas climbing that 7200ft and descending 2700 into Reno. On the way back, it is of course a 2700ft climb into Donner Pass followed by a 4500ft descent. My gas gauge barely budged off of full!
Come on out and get your donut on This is it! Even if someone else steps up to organize, I doubt it will ever be monthly again. I hope to see all of you at the Last Sacramento Porsche Family Reunion!

I'll try to make it aswell, its my brothers birthday, but I'm sure I can stop by for a few on my way out.
I think a annual tahoe run would be great... that area is so nice and its fun to drive a 914 through...
I'll be there...got a full day the 27th but most of it is in the afternoon.
I have to work. Guess i'm going to miss the last one. Thanks for hosting Rob. It was fun.
OK, Time for a BAy Area caravan to the reunion. San Ramon to Antioch, up the 160 river hwy to the donut shop. Who's in? Lennie, John, Andy, Jeff, Marty, Matt, Dennis, Dave, anyone???
OK sound off! Let's make this reunion go out in style...
Who's going???
Mike, I'm in for the caravan, what time? meet at Mc Donald's parking lot just before the bridge at Hwy 4. John
You guys try not to throw up road shittage on John's car. I suspect that thing could be COTM material one day if it doesn't keep getting abused...
Had a thought, I know it's short notice, but why not make this reunion even more special and send Rob off to his new job and home in style. I'm willing to open my house for a BBQ if anyones interested, I'll even donate everything for hamburgers.
We live in the country,(near Wilton, just so. of sacramento) have plenty of room, even a pool and spa for the kids (or adults).
Even a garage full of cars and parts to talk about
Just a thought, let me know if there's an interest
Jeff
I am going to try to go where ever we have this. Very nice of Jeff to offer up his house BTW.
I am going to be driving my Prius.....no laughing please. Anyone want a ride from the San Ramon/Danville/Alamo area?
Michael
I think a BBQ is a great idea but do I have to give up the doughnuts?
Jim
Maybe start off at the donut shop then caravan to Jeff's house??
Don't know if there are many good driving roads between the two but who knows
I'm down with that.
Rob, are you really moving?
That's a great idea Jeff! I think we could start out at the donut shop and take the backroads - Sunrise out there to make it interesting...
Mind if I bring the Z Car Guys?

Well I guess its time. I'll supply everything for burgers. If everyone wants to bring something to go with that (or something else to throw on if you don't like burgers) and what you like to drink. There will be some beer, soda, water here.
Just need a head count to have enough food. I'm working out of town this week, so my posting will be limited until the weekend, iphone can only do so much.
Oh, and there are no "good" roads between there and here just long straight country roads.
And Rob Its your party bring anyone you want.
Jeff
I'll be bringing my wife. I'll bring some food too.
Love the Reno Rob. Any town with a pawn shop on one side of the street and a casino on the other is a good town. You and Rico will have a good time, and its not really that far from the Bay Area.
The Chevy dealer in town is a good guy too.
This was a first for the Sacramento Porsche Family Reunion... Last month's event saw a car towed off for the first time. Turned out to be a bad coil and it was running five minutes after he got it home and on the ground.
None of that this month please

Damn it Rob! That is the weekend of the "Goodguys" show in Pleasanton. I bought a new toy and was looking forward to spending a bunch of money there on parts.
See ya Saturday.
Oh yea... Rob, you owe me a donut
We will donut shop it from 9am to 11am and then caravan to Jeff's...
I'll pm Rob my address so he can pick a route from the donut shop. If anyone's not going to make the donut shop to caravan, you can pm either Rob or myself for the address.
Jeff
Less than a week to go!!!! Weather forcast this morning said 96 for saturday.
Bring your suits, our pool is 18' X 30" one level with a volley ball net in the middle, games have been known to break out with only a moments notice. We also have horseshoe pits, and shade for those who just want to relax. If there are any young kids 6-7 or younger we have the availability of a small bounce house. So we need to know who's coming, let Rob or myself know so we can have enough food, and also if there are any young ones. Hope to see you there, or here.
Jeff
Sadly I will not be able to make the BBQ. I have a graduation/going away to college party for my niece. I knew the party was coming just did not know the date/time until this weekend.
At least I will get to visit at the doughnut shop:)
Jim
I'll be at the doughnut shop for sure, not so sure about the BBQ...wanted to bump this since the server will be down starting tomorrow until the event
I'm still coming for both, Will be meeting Mike and anybody else to caravan up to Sacramento, see you at 7:30 Mike. John
Be there!
I'm There!
Sorry to hear some can't make the BBQ, we'll have plenty of food so even if you've never gone to a Sacramento Porsche family reunion if you live close enough drive on out and enjoy the fun. Since the site will be down if you need direction or have questions you can call my cell (916) 834-6574
Hope to see a bunch of you here!!
Jeff
Jeff, I will be there with my son. I will hold off on any food until we get there so we can see what is needed, then make a run to the store.
That's great glad you can make it, bounce house will be here unless my daughter forgets it.
See you sat
Jeff
Nicho will be there and he is 13... Frankly though, he will still probably be more interested in your daughter. He has turned in to quite the 'player'. Even tried to make moves on his high school aged algebra tutor.
Who's coming on the Bay Area caravan?
I don't think most people realize the site is back up. For those that do tomorrows the day... Get your donut on and then some BBQ.
Jeff
It BBQ time. Today's the day.
Donuts...... Drive.......BBQ
What better way to spend your Saturday
See you soon
Jeff
Just broke down on the freeway. Hit a bump and ripped the oil pan open. Will tow it home. Still try to make Sacramento. Keep you posted...
Leaving now... Well, ok - in ten minutes or so. Don't want to be too early!
Already here...mis-judged how long it would take
Dammit!!
There must be a southbay curse for the 914's this weekend.
Sorry to hear Mike.
It's funny. Last month I posted that we had a Sac Porsche Family Reunion first in that someone had to be towed home, this time someone had to be towed there!

Mike that sucks!! Keep us posted!
Just left the BBQ 45 minutes ago. Thanks to Jeff and Deborah for hosting. Great food, great friends, a great time! This should be an annual thing! Thanks for the well wishes. I am sure we will be fine. I will see you guys when I come over the hill...
Enjoyed having everyone here saturday, sorry some of you couldn't make it, have to Plan further ahead next time.
Hope your car is back on the road soon mike, maybe next time you come out you'll be able to actually drive it all the way, maybe take a different route till they fix the freeway, or slow down, nah just pick another route.
Again great seeing everyone, have to do it again.
Jeff
