914World.com _ 914World Garage _ What kind of HP for 2258?

Posted by: tornik550 Aug 22 2011, 12:23 PM

Just curious- what kind of HP do you think I will get from my 2258 build? I realize there are a lot of variable but just looking for opinions. This is really irrelevant- just curious.

78mm crank
96mm pistons
5.4" con rods
2.0l heads ported with 44/36valves
cam- .507 lift, duration 298, duration at ..50 262
dual weber 44idf's
stock 2.0l headers (I have others on order)

I have 96 pistons, 76 crank, not sure about cam and con-rods 44idf Webers. F11 emulsion tube, 130 main jets, 175 air jets. The engine was built by FAT Performance in Orange California and produced 147 HP on the Dyno. Good luck.
Cheers, Elliot

Excellent- just what I am looking for. Anyone have one that they built and know the hp numbers? I suppose HP shouldn't be effected too much by my crappy engine building skills- just mainly reliability.

Here are a few plots from my 2258/2270 combos with those valve sizes.. As you will see, "Results will vary".

Wow, those are some impressive numbers.

I'm thinking that I will be far from those numbers.
