It's clean but it's also painted. Still a neat way to turn junk into usefull art.

That's a lot of shine...this is the cleanest engine-trans-underside I've seen on a 914 though:

Since I am in the process of replacing my fuel lines, and have the car raised, I would love to do a little cleaning under the engine and trans, too. What is a reasonable method for doing so, short of yanking everything out? Are there any products folks would recommend that I can use inside my garage?
