Simple question.....What is the stock grind?
All stock cams are the same, right?
Thanks
What I have been told (by those that should know) for years.
Is that the cam part numbers never changed but the cam grind changed over the 5 years of production for emissions.
So an early cam in, say a 70 1.7 had the same part number as the cam used in a 75 but the cam profile was a little different.
All our competition engines that had to meet production class rules used an Elgin cam grind based on the earliest specs.

There are different size cam gears depending on how the cam and crank mesh.
So Lift and duration? overlap?
Nevermind, this is close enough.....right http://www.webcamshafts.com/index_blank.html?pages/vehicle_search.html
Have to search for our car
I believe these are the stock 2.0 cam specs, as noted by the vwparts website;
