for chevy/ford V8 conversions, a belt driven waterpump is what is most often used...it's pricey and can only be bought from a few places..

It's from a '91 Jetta.....I also noticed that some of the watercooled VWs use an electric aux. "helper" water pump....just a FYI

That's cool. I like that pump! I think the pump efficency depends on the rest of your cooling system and the type of engine you have. Aluminum blocks seem to disapate heat better. I'm just using the stock water pump in the stock location for my conversion. I'm finding as long as I don't get stuck in traffic my I don't even need a fan. I bet that pump would work bitchin for most conversions.
