My altenator keeps loosening up, leaving the belt flapping around. I have thought about putting a "star" grip style lock washer in there somewhere. What do you all recommend?

did you re-tighten the lower pivot bolt?
Nope...ASSumed there wasn't one, but you know how assuming goes. Thanks for that suggestion. I will slap my own head, thank you.

The bolt head is custom and stays put...the head faces the front of the car.
This is so you only need one wrech on the nut...the head is like a carriage bolt...its locked in.
The nut is up above the heater boxes...
You can get to it...but you cant see it when you turn it...just do it by feel.

Thank you. I really appreciate the detail. Most everything I do with this car is "by feel", do I am used to that.
