Last night Theo wore his Elmo costume to the last of the Shrewsbury Market Cruise In shows. The one before Halloween always has the owners giving candy to kids in costume.
Theo wanted very badly to see into this Rod. But ne knows the rules - NO TOUCHING. so he said: "Pick me up so I can see!"
So this guy standing near me say to him "Want to sit in it?" and looks at me for permission. I agree and the guy puts Theo behind the wheel. He plays for a minute and the guy lifts him out (no doors).
I say "Hey, Thanks. I appreciate you letting my son sit in your car."
And he said: "Oh, no problem. Its not my car!"
I thought he was joking, and laughed. later on I saw the rod driving out of the show... by someone else.

You're kidding! What a laugh
good story with a clear punch line
Very classy!
I'd've been been busted on the spot and escorted from the premises, I'm sure.
Priceless! Reminds me of "Does your dog bite joke with inspector cluesuea". (I'm sure I spelled that wrong).
Nice looking boy. Love the costume.
Yup, Theo is still cute. Doesnt look a thing like Zach
Inspector Clouseau - "Does your dog bite?" The very first thing I thought of when I read your post. Nice picture.
Did Theo manage to leave the real owner any candy in it? Specifically in those "hard to reach" areas of the car?
Nah, I was managing all the candy storage. While he knows the "NO TOUCHING" rule, sticky fingers seem to love to touch things and leave marks. If I keep the candy for later, I don't need to worry about sugar marks on some guys wheel.
