Here's a functional battery tray repair to get me by until the *real* repair in the winter during the SIX conversion.
When we pulled the motor out, the rust under the battery in the hole was UGLY. ( Still is UGLY )
In fact, I pulled out a nest with a mouse skeleton included.

You can get a lot done when the motor is out.
We repaired one rear trunk pivot point and replaced the other. Welding up the tray from this angle was quite easy.
Yes, I made noises like a SIX while I was in there. Wouldn't you?

I was in the that same area patching around a bad clutch tube exit on Sunday.

I am actually looking foward to completly clearing out that rust hole and doing it right.
