Im looking at a car... Its been smacked in the back obviously. Any thoughts on how difficult this would be to repair?
That looks pretty f-ed up
Looks like it could very well have some structural damage, not just sheet metal...
Do the doors open and close?
Does the top still fit properly?
Depends on how desperate you are (or how cheep it is)
cheers,
Jeroen
Looks to me like you need someone with a professional frame stretcher.
Pelican Parts has all the dimensions they would need. Definately not something to to at home.
That is going to take a pro.
It better be free or close to free or a six to be worth fixin.
I dunno where you are... but I think Brad knows a shop that speaks 914, that has a frame machine.
I don't think it's a /6. That looks like a 4 bolt wheel.

Its an ebay special. So far it IS pretty damn cheap... Was just curious. If it needs stretching, then im not sure if its something I want to tackle.
If it has really nice parts on it, then just find a decent body to transfer the parts to it...
If its just ok.. then leave it. Let some guy with a barn buy it and use it for a parts car.
There are better deals out there.
Im in Kansas City. I know this car is in California. I just thought that if it were cheap enough... Besides the guy seems to be avoiding sending me pics of "certain areas"
I found a pretty decent 2 liter car two weeks ago. Someone abandoned it at a porsche shop about 4 months ago, not wanting to pay the bill. The shop owner is just not sure he wants to put a lien on it just yet. Hes been trying to get ahold of the guy...
Im just getting anxious to get another 14. The wife is cool with it, the garage has room, I have the money...
I should have bought Doug's car when I had the chance.
Well the bumper and tail light assembly is 1K, not including what else it needs in parts (trunk hood? trunk gasket?) Add that to the body shop bill (unless you have a frame machine at home) and I'd keep looking.
Plus you would have to put the front end back together also. (if all the parts are there)
