I read a Technical Article that stated to swap out a tail shifter for a side shifter, you needed a late model engine mount.

Is this true? If so, how late? my teener is a '72.

thx

you will need a bar from a 73 or later. it has a large cast hole that the rod passes through. you are going to need the 2 brackets that bolt to the front of the block, 2 rubber mounts that go in between the brackets and the bar, and 2 of the solid outboard pieces that replace the earlier outboard style. plan on buying the replacement/adapter firewall bushing with the correct outside diameter for the early hole and the correct inside diameter for the later rod.
