If I ever get the car finished...
Humm......don't think I've ever had an RX-7 beat me.....240Zs, now that's a different story
The one that goes through the course the fastest, with the least of amount of time, including any penalties.
My car.

The clemson club has one as a club car and sometimes it has racing tires. Just depends on how much money they have at the time. The race above I had some old hoosiers on.
Here's some times where I was on street tires and the rx7 is on racing tires

Assuming similarly prepared cars (mods, tires) it would depend greatly on the RX-7. A first generation 100hp RX-7 weighing 2400 pounds would lose every time. One of the later 182hp Turbo RX-7s would probably kick the 914's butt on long courses with straight sections. A 914-4 might still win on a tight course.
The 3rd gen RX-7 is a formidable AS/ASP car.
2nd Gen turbos are too heavy for really fast AXing. Now the 3rd Gen cars are freakin fast!
