I guess I was not paying attention.
I meant to post this in the garage....if a kind admin would move it please.
I am really interested in what motor is in there...mainly if its a turbo.
Rich
It's a DKP car. Check at http://www.cal-look.com/, that's their hangout.
My bet is it's a type 1 engine with a turbo. The type 1 has less head sealing issues making it easier to turbo.
Just interested to see if its NA or turbo...I have heard rumors of 300hp NA motors...that are not timebombs...Just curious really.

If you listen carefully the anounser says somthing about the exaust looking like its
N/A but its not ,its a sleeper , Bill D.
NA 300hp you have to run big stroke/bore, 48+IDA's, superflow heads, modified shroud or type1 DTM, ratio rockers, cam, headers, etc....a transmission that can handle it.
Cheaper than a type 4, but if done right it's not a whole lot cheaper.
A turbo could do that on a cheaper big bore type 1 with stock head castings.
,,,....I clapped when it started! (282)
(hope he does'nt hit a brick wall LOL)
My T1 record NA is 310HP at the flywheel(pro stock engine).. The life span of that engine was measured in seconds at 16:1 CR
T4 NA record is 284HP on pump gas (street engine).
Turbo record is 650HP for a Pro Mod "Type None" on Gasoline turning over 9,000 RPM at 36 PSI boost.
Big power can be made, with extreme effort and a set of cylinder heads that cost more than a new Kia off the showroom floor.
I am working on one final T4 extreme project over this winter.. Its finally ready for assembly. Its more fun now than anything, I don't even want to build engines at that level for customers any longer.
