914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Variable cam ... Has this been done on Type 4

I have read that adapting the cam profile to the engine rpm gives more power / efficency / economy
Has something like that been made / tested on a type 4 ?

That Helical cam design is very interesting and original.

The layout of the engine doesn't promote a true VVT arrangement. After tearing into and beginning development of the 2009 and newer Porsche DFI engines I have gained some knowledge and figured out some ways that would allow TIV VVT arrangements.

The downfall is no one could afford to buy it, so there isn't any use in doing it.
