Anyone have any experience with cleaning the carbon buildup that plugs the "spider" pipe?

Kind of a pain in the butt. I heated it up good with propane torch and tapped it all over with large screwdriver until you see the carbon fall out. Use lots of compressed air back and forth to help it out. Do spray lots of carb cleaner as well. I also drilled out injection nozzles (totally clogged)and bead blasted them. Be sure to used anti-seize compound on all the threaded connections when re-connecting it all. Factory recommends cleaning the system every 30K miles. Hope this helps.
