Found this car advertised for sale in Eugene, OR (100 miles south of Portland). Went to see it and was ready to write a check. Decided marriage might not survive another 914 so posted it on the Club classifieds last week. It is now on its way to Florida, purchased by a Club member looking for a concours quality car. It has 84K miles, owned by same woman since 1980 (50K miles) and babied like you would not believe. It is a '75 2.0. New owner has already lined up a set of refinished 2.0 Fuchs. Take a look.

She had clear plastic covers tailored for the seat cushions. Easily removable for show.

Looks new. I had those wheels on mine when it was a daily driver. Always liked them.
And to think mine looked like that at one time
Paul
Car is going to West Palm Beach. I'll leave it to the new owner to "come out" when he's ready. He did not steal the car, but it is worth more than he paid in my opinion.
Yep, I should have bought it, but I have 4 Porsches now. Want to keep 1 wife!

Jim,
Thanks so much for all you did to help Josh purchase this 914. You are a great guy. Also the lady that owned the car for the last 24 years seems like she was really cool.
I've become friends with the new owner. Josh and I have spent hours on the phone in the last few months looking for the right 914. He is very excited about the arrival of his Sunflower Yellow 2 liter. It will be in great hands. His father owned a 914 when he was younger and this helped feed his desire to own one himself. Thanks again Jim for helping make this all happen for Josh.
Steve
it looks like it has mudflaps too!
Good eye. She had them made. They clip on, no holes drilled.

One picture shows a black trim piece between the front fender and the "wiper panel". What is that? Is it original? All years? I don't have one....yet.
you mean the fender cowl seal? I think all cars have those.
I just have a gap that extends from the hood to the door. I thought it drained rain water. What does it do?
Tx
Doug
yeah you should have a seal, they just wedge in there. they are like $2 each new. I guess it keeps water and crap from going down there and adds a bit of a finished look.
Love the bumpers
Any more shots of the engine bay?
Three engine shots: 1

OMG! I LOVE those seats! Yellow plaid...awesome!
that is down right porn........
The new owner of this car is currently taking precautions for hurricane Francis. I'm sure he would love to add his comments here but is too busy right now.
He purchased a set (5) of 2 liter Fuchs alloys which arrived today. If anyone wants the wheels shown in the pictures, I'm sure he would cut you a great deal.
As I stated previously, thank you Jim Chambers, for all your help in making this transaction happen. Josh will be the perfect new owner for this car.
The reflector may have been installed as an option by the dealer, but it's DEALER option, using an aftermarket kit, NOT an option offered or endorsed by PCNA. It also appears that the EGR is missing (the port is plugged), as well as the decel valve, although one may not have been installed originally. Nice car, though. The Cap'n
The cap'n knows more than I, but I do recall them coming off the showroom floor with the reflector. I think folks wanted 914's to look like "real" Porsches which had the reflector starting in '74.
Car was delivered in Oregon and did not have a catalytic converter as the CA cars did. Would that mean no EGR as well?
I know Chris, but at my age it's a little late to go shopping. Especially for one that would work full time to support a retired guy and his P car habit! Hope all is well with you in SF. Miss seeing you up here. Need a young 914 AX'r to keep JP on his toes.
DAMN!
I want one too!
