Couple weekends of tightening and adjusting and you'll be out on track!
There are lots of resources here! Check the member vendor page and the classifieds.
This looks like a fun project!
As always, your biggest problem will be rust. You will probably spend a lot of time replacing rusted out metal. The most important will be the longitudinal chanels on each side of the frame. The worst area will probably be the long. area just under the battery tray. Weather you make a street car or a racing car, structural integrity is the most important thing. When you have a good solid frame and body, then you can decide how you want the car to look. Good luck and again...
Cool!
A 914-6/GT clone - looks like a fun project!
Tank you guys !!!
Is a big work and I go step by step, because the big problem for me is the money !!!
My 911´s all I buy but in good good price, and after make more more work.
My work is body repair and painting cars, and for me in my spare time in my house is a big adventure.
Now the work is not painted but is near, all parts are sanitized and reinforced, the engine 911 supports are mounted, the roll bars are mounted and is near to the paint preparation.
My little problem is the money €€€€€€€€, the work is not necesary pay anybody, but the parts anybody gift to me, and one to anothe plus another cost a lot of $$$$$$$$$

Hola!
Bienvenido on finding a 914 en Espana. Last time I was in Andalucia, the only old car was a Renault 2CV.
De niño, yo vivía en la ciudad de Sevilla durante tres años.
Best of luck,
Ken
It very much looks like you know what you are doing. I think it will be a very nice restoration. Good luck with it and keep the pictures coming. We are all very interested in your progress.
Cheers, Elliot
This is great to see! I've spoken with JM recently through email after we got acquainted on the Pelican site, and he certainly knows what he is doing! It's great to see this kind of work coming out of Spain!

Bienvenido !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Este es el mejor foro que puedas encontrar. Mucha informacion y muchos proyectos y la gente aqui es super amable y bien cooperadora. Ya ves todos los que han saludado.!!!
Saludos desde Puerto Rico.
Buenas. I have a 914 in Madrid. Right now it is a shell. Si tuviera pasta, metería un 6 cilindros y lo ensanchaba.
¡Suerte!
You have a good project on your hands.
Just remember the key to welding is very clean surfaces like grinding the paint & rust ect. Wire wheels on an angle grinder work really well.
Cheers
Clow
Que linda! Ojala que tenga tanto dedicacion en mis proyectos! Sigue!
JM, you have a great project. It is wonderful that you are saving another 914 from neglect and deterioration.
Have you listed your VIN in the 914World member's VIN database? Here is the link to it:

You can buy the parts to convert your tail shift to a side shift. Either that or get a side shift gearbox.
Very nice project!
John
It may not be that easy to get a side-shift transmission in Spain. Still worth looking for.
As I said on the Pelican thread, you can convert your new (tail-shift) transmission to the side-shift configuration using the parts from your old gearbox. Worth cleaning things up and inspecting the bits inside while you have it apart, which can quickly turn into a gearbox rebuild.
Dr. Evil over here has a pretty good video (2 DVD set) on how to do that rebuild, in case you go that way.
Most people find that the regular side-shift's rear shift rod (which goes from the firewall to the transmission) will hit the 914-6 exhaust at some point in its travel. The popular solution is to fasten both ends of the shift rod to a jig (or just a board) so you can cut out the middle, and then weld in a straight piece of tubing or solid rod.

AND WHERE IS POSSIBLE BUY THE DR.EVIL'S VIDEOS OF 901 ?????
I'M FROM SPAIN !!! CAN HE SEND TO ME ??? WHERE MAKE THE PAYMENT ???
THANK YOU !!!

I don't know offhand of any diagrams specifically for putting an MFI 911 engine into a 914 chassis. Your best bet is to dig out the wiring diagram for the year of 911 that your engine came from, and your 914's wiring diagram, and start looking for what wires supply what types of signals. Then make a diagram of what should be connected to which, and keep a copy of it with the car.
Pelican has some 911 and most 914 wiring diagrams on their site. (See my sig below for a link to Pelican; the electrical diagrams are listed in the bar on the left of the page.)

I have mounted the fuel pressure and distribuitor of fuel the same of the Oem book manual, and read here is not good , but where is the good pic for mount ??
Please the gurus ! Anybody can input here the pic of the correct fuel pressure mount !!
Thank you guys
Sorry I can't help with your questions, but that is one beautiful looking 914!!..Wow, nice job!
Wow!
When the car is stop with the engine running is very good
When the car go for the road not up the revolutions more of 3000 and when stop and give more up to 6500-7000 rev !!!
Well.for what it's worth I would say fuel pump or filter blockage, then timing and/or distributor. Just go through one at a time and tick them off. Great job you've done bringing that car back from the dead. Well done
Hellow friends !! What they thinking ???
I think the car is near to the finish for racing............

Hello 914friends !!!
One of a littlel problem now of my project is the problems with the oil tank......
Because the Oem is more expensive, mount one oil tank in the front of the car with the oilcooler........ But now I think the problem is :
For arrived and pass the oilcooler no problem
After the oilcooler have and pass the oil filter and after enter in the oil tank .......
The littlel problem because the oil línea have more air is for the oil go to the engine not have pressure, and I have fear for give to engine more working !!
Please "gurus" of this model !!!
What can I make ???
That is a know problem with front mounted oil tanks.
Can you mount the tank closer to the engine?
I have seen a tank mounted in the stock battery location.
I have seen a tank mounted in the rear trunk area, sticking down through the floor of the rear trunk.
--DD
The littlel problem is now have mounted the oil tank in front, the radiator with the oil filter and all tubes workeds for this sistem and now buy another oil tank, and tubes etc etc, is very expensive !!
Think is possible mount any electrical pump oil for sending the oil to the engine ??
Please any can input here any URL of any selling one part thinking is good ?? On eBay ??
Because my engine is one 2.4 S from one 911, and have a lot of problems with the pressure etc, I make the buyment of the 914-6 gt aluminium oiltank.........
