Wooh, I havent seen THIS car yet!!
Whats this one gonna have?
Just keep plugging away.
My shitbox spent nearly a year on blocks doing the conversion....I didn't think it would ever be done. I just kept after it. Then one day I set it down on it's tiars.....it sure seemed low
Oh look, hehe...
No motor mounts!
(JP's post pointed it out to me... lol)
cool I always wanted to see the flinstone's car....
Unless you plan on having heat... cut off/cap off the heater tubes. They make the chassis VERY weak right there. Looks awesome. Wish I could be there to help you on it.

I think I have a good days work of cleaning/grinding left
Then I'll testfit the engine/tranny and see if all the braces I have in mind will actually clear
Thanks for the pointer on the heater tubes
I won't have heat, but I'm thinking of using the heater ducts to run oillines for the front cooler
Not sure at this point (will have to figure it out soon)
If not, I'll cut em flush and weld 'm shut (and get rid of another water trap )
Hmm.. Brad you got any pics of that??
I need to do that.... (jots down on the 200 page list...)
Andy, this will give you some idea...
Mind that if you cut the tubes flush you still need to make sure they are attached to the surrounding sheetmetal or the tubes will be loose and banging inside your longitudinals...

I knew that tub looked familiar. I didnt know you had progress pics from 8 years ago.

I've got a bunch of old pics and info on the car on my HD
If you want it, let me know...
heey Jeroen,
for one second you had me thinking you were making a lot of progress very fast
then I realised that the last pictures were not your car
anyways, all progress is good even slow progress.
keep it up
Jacco
What did you think? That I welded the 4 banger engine mounts back in
LOL didn't even notice that one, I focussed on the heater tube area...
yes I know that's close to the motor mounts
greets
Jacco
Spend some time in the garage over the weekend...
Rear firewall all cleaned up
seam-sealer around the heater tubes gone
(all parts in primer have been stripped to bare metal first)
Attached image(s)
Front trunk floor stripped of paint and seam-sealer (what a PITA)
Attached image(s)
stich-welded the front strut mount
may be unnessesairy (sp?) but it can't hurt either...
