914World.com _ 914World Garage _ looking for a gauge mount source....

Posted by: scottb Sep 6 2004, 03:22 PM

i removed my console and have a couple of factory gauges rolling around on the floor looking for a new home. the problem is i can't find a source for a gauge mount that accepts the factory vdo gauges that came in our cars. all seem to be made for 3" or 2 1/16". any suggestions on a source to by a 2 gauge mount that fits under the dash?

muchas gracias.....

AutoAtlanta had one they offered for some time, but given the general attitude about them you may consider substituting a couple combo-guages in the dash (like the http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/images/six_conversion/914-6_combo_gauge_completed.JPG from Pelican Parts, or even one of the aftermarket units (keeping your legroom free and clear!)

Edit: North Hollywood Speedometer has some nice ideas/work as well:
