Andy,
Are those 8" wheels?
What is the actual width of the tire on the wheel?

good old 7" cookie cutters, tires are supposed to be 9" but they measure more like 10" ...
this is how they're supposed to be mounted, they come with ultra-stiff U-shaped sidewalls ...

yeah, but i have to change the offset of my spacers as my current street tires are nowhere near as wide.
got 100mm studs for the rear and 75mm studs for the front plus a whole box of different size spacers to play with ...

Those look fun! I hope your tub is reinforced in the key spots in case these things generate the g's that they look capable of.
I would like to try slicks on my car sometime but I think only Avon makes a size that would squeeze under my stock (but pulled & rolled rear) body.

that is actually the reason why i'm not going to make it to this weekends AX ...
i *need* my new trailing arms for this, the old ones i have now are bend and i have about 1" of alignment shims on each side to get a decent camber ...
my concern with those tires is that i'm not going to have enough thread left on the mounting bolts for the amount of cornering forces.
the new trailing arms are at the powedercoater, so we'll see how much longer that takes, but probably not fast enough to make it this weekend ...

What size studs and spacers are you putting on them???
I think my car has like 3in studs (ie huge....) Coupled with steel lug nuts, I should be able to mount as big a spacer as one could put on them.....

don't know yet what size spacers i will need, that's why i got the long studs, so i will have enough room to play with ...
