More importanly.... How long does the light stay on in the fridg when you close the door....

The thermo switch only works, firing the cold start valve, when the engine is cranked (key in the spring loaded start position) and when the temp is below the rating of the thermo switch. So the CSV only functions in very cold termperatures, while the engine is cranking over...thats all.
