I lifted these pics from a pelican thread, Apparently someone is using 930 rear (they think) on the front of a 911 bolt strut..

Any ideas?

Wilwood 6 pot billet superlites arent that expensive, and 930 rear discs can be had for a reasonable cost..

Has anyone gone down this road besides they guy on the pelican thread?

You'll have to machine your hub as well, the OD is too large so it'll have to be turned down to match the diameter of the rear hub.

This is an 911 hub and my rear 964 rotors (cheaper than 930 rotors)

oh and the 964 front rotors are one piece as well, but the distance from the hub surface to the rotor surface is not as much (2" verses 3") but I don't see any problems since big red conversions are done to the 964 cars as well....

Thats it!! you dont see that he machined the hub.

Oh well

I think I have an old set of hubs laying around. My friend has a lathe. The possibilities

I've been doing a little research on this............

I ordered new rotors and pads for my 911 and was wondering if I could some how use them on the 914 with the 4 bolt pattern smile.gif

Had I kept the 4x130 pattern, it would be no big deal to redrill the rotors for this BC, but with the 4x100 BC, it is too small and would not work with the 964 rotors since the ID of the hole in the rotor is ~4"...damn..

Oh well, I guess the aluminum Wilwood hats and rotors will have to be used instead tongue.gif

I really have nothing to add, but this seemed a good thread to post this picture. smile.gif

The brakes were the critical item to get the car on the road. The floor pan is next, then the suspension. One thing at a time. If I rip everything apart, I'll get overwhelmed and frustrated. wacko.gif

P.S. I'm working on a brake caliper tech article. That's the opening picture.
