Can the fill spout and expansion chamber from a 74 914 fit on the fuel tank for a 72? Has anyone ever made the switch?

Gary,

Judging by the inventory of 914s you have, it looks like you've got two '74s from which to take parts to answer your question. Should take a few minutes, even if you only take approximate measurements.
