914World.com _ 914World Garage _ "do a search"

Posted by: rhodyguy Sep 22 2004, 04:24 PM

rolleyes.gif . a couple of pages back a member was asking about retrofitting early bumpers on a later car. i know craig did a series of pretty exstensive pictures showing the path to this adventure. so i tried "bumpers" and filtered it with "boxster". well i guess i don't quite get the idea of how "to use this feature". while you're at it tell me how to add a link and a quote as well.

Do you mean this thread?

two ways to add a quote - one is to use the 'quote' button in the post, the other is to use the quote tag button in the code buttons section of the 'post a reply' page.

you didn't find Craig's post, because he goes by "boxstr" - but i just put "box" in the search criteria, and selected 'use partial'.

i added http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=8404&hl=bumpers by using the "http" button, pasting in the URL, then adding the text description.

The keys to a successful search:

It seems like half the time you search, you don't find anything close to what you need, or you end up sifting through 400 topics of stuff you don't need to know.

Just ask, it's easier than searching. Lol. When someone says "search!" Just ignore them, they like that. biggrin.gif

Try first, at least, but, don't be afraid to ask.
