914World.com _ 914World Garage _ longer lug bolts

Posted by: jmargush Sep 23 2004, 08:13 AM

Does anyone know of a source for longer lug bolts to use when using spacers?

Or is the only solution to convert to studs?

Why would you not consider using studs? IMO its the only way to go.

H&R.

Mike Potter at http://www.parts4vws.com/ can get them.
i've used some v-e-r-y long bolts. be sure to specify the headstyle you need (ball-type, probably). they will come with 17mm heads...

Thanks,

Only reason for not using studs would possibly be cost and time invested.

Yup, virtual world parts has em, they're only a couple miles from my house. I've bought several sets from them. They have 17mm heads instead of 19mm heads, but they are have a very atractive price so they are worth it. They also have a few different lengths available from stock to a little longer to real long.
here's a pic of a set i bought:
