Just for fun, I pounded on some sheet metal today... I'll take some pics in a bit. It's nothing amazing, just a little piece to replace the formerly bond-o'd over corner piece under my left taillight. This one is just a rough expirament, but now I want to learn how to do it right.
Does anyone know of some good websites that show the tools and some methods for doing this kind of stuff? Google seems to be completely overrun with 'directory' sites, ack.
I found a few books I'm planning on buying. Anyone have more recommendations?

Two words...John Kelley
His Ghia site has all kinds of good links.
www.metalshapers.org spend a day or two looking through the albums...join the yahoo mailing list etc.
www.metalmeet.com spend a day or two lookin through the forums and galleries.
www.covell.biz videos and tools
www.tinmantech.com videos and tools
www.metalcrafttools.com videos and tools
And hopefully soon I'm going to be making short DVDs about specific processes...stretching, shrinking, smoothing, etc. I have a very rough cut of my do-it-yourself flare video..trying to make sense of it now....have to reduce down to two hours....still needs an intro and a few other things.
When you post the pictures, maybe I can help a little.
