mine has an overlay. Looks fine to me

Overlay is the easiest.

IMO a plastic overlay can look pretty good. I had a parts car where I didn't even notice it had one until I crawled around the car a bit.

I've seen the overlay on several cars and you can't really tell. I think it is a great inexpensive way to go.

Sounds like overlay is the way to go then.

Thank you

Camp 914 also has a dash resurfacing service that it offers. Not cheap, but probably the best short of finding NOS parts.

I checked a number of places and ended up of all things @ JC Whitney. Cost about $86.00 which included shipping to CA. Fit was perfect with the exception of slight trimming on one edge of the ashtray opening. I was quite pleased with the appearance. Not too shiney, with almost stock like texture and finish.

Fit so well I didn't bother to glue it in place.

Have fun,

Keith

There is a few for sale on ebay as well.

Whats my options for the roll bar while we're at it?

Roll bar? I was in Original Customs shop the other day and saw a replica GT bar that Mark is crafting. It looked pretty cool. I didn't ask the cost. Give him a call.
