the day before the D&G swap (and like 20 miles away from the D&G swap) is the PCA riverside region's AX, at the Orange Show Grounds Parking Lot, Off of Arrowhead Drive, in San Bernadino, south of Mill Street. 
Brando gave me the following info:
*Signup time is between 7:30 and 8:00 AM
*from 8 to 2-ish
*usually get a good amount of laps in per person, 20 maybe more
*3 last times are recorded
*3 Driving Instructors will be there, usually to teach you about it
*it's safe, fun, and only $45 for the whole day
*breakfast is usually provided (donuts), and we take a break for lunch
The goal is to bring more teeners to this AX than any other porsche model (not hard when less than 20 vehicles show). Should be easy to do when its the day before a popular swapmeet 20 min away from the scene of the swap meet. comeon local guys..make this happen.

i believe helmets may be available....but best case to borrow one from a buddy. and you need some cash.

Seriously, you can borrow my old plates... although questions may arise when the cops run the plates and see that it's a 1973 Karmann Ghia.. and not a Porsche 914...

Cost is $45. that covers you for the whole day
Also, it is required when doing your runs that you have a Snell approved helmet and your car passes tech inspection. Read: Your battery is secured

Not sure about loaner helmets. In our group there's usually one or two people who need to borrow because of alternating groups... but i doubt there would be enough for the amount of people expressing interest here. I would highly reccommend picking up a snell approved one from a motorcycle place for as littles as you can get. You dont absolutely have to spend lots of money... and helmets aren't exactly a one-time-use thing.
In fact, i may have to buy one soon.

That's what i was hoping to hear. I'm in the same helmet situation, thats in NY too.
So anyone going from the San Diego area? It'd be nice to meet up and make the drive as a group. (I promise I'll keep the Miata in the back)

it's fucking 2AM and i need more liquor wtf.
i'll try to be there at 8:30 AM. I feel really shitty and I might just meet you all then take off around 10:30 since I have to go open the shop at that time to take care of a customer. At least I'll get to meet most of you. I also wont be AX'ing since my rear shocks are blown, battery tray is toasted, and I'm poor. Most important is that all of you whome ACOCKS (and sort of me) invited and will have a fabulous time.

Aaron you did pretty good out there!
As did the rest of you who showed up. I wanted to tell all of you who participated, thank you again for being there and having fun! Don't worry about filling out those PCA pamphlets. If you want to show up just for the A-X, then just do that. More than anything, I liked seeing 7 914's and only 3 911's. Oh, and the mysterious, numberless Bleemer.
I also saw two of you with cameras... When do we get to see the pictures?
