914World.com _ 914World Garage _ JB Weld?

One of the air injectors on my 2.0 '76 has striped threads; it screws in but will not tighten....don't want to heli-coil something that's going to be de-activated upon passing initial registration emissions test so.......

JB Weld it in place? locktite thread saver....any suggestions?

JB - the finest shit on earth. It will lock it in, but I'm not to sure about removal (but then you could just drill it out). You could try some Orange Permatex RTV - it supposedly is resistant to 600 degrees, since this for the test only.

Used it to repair a small crack on our boats OMC outdrive about 2 years ago. Worked like a SOB.
Still looks exactly the same & doesn't leak.
