Without going too much into detail, i have made some major changes behind the scenes to the forum software.

Please report any errors here. If you can't post, send me an PM on the Pelican Parts forum.

Some of you may not even be able to read the forum at all. Hopefully, you'll be able to get in touch with me on the other forums so i can help you (Since you won't be reading this).

You do so much that obviously affects the lives, and sometimes livelyhoods, of many of us (some more than others.. ), what can we do for YOU?

Seriously guys, we need to do something for Andy for all his hard work. I know World is not a "pay for membership" site, but maybe create a 'Donate to keep the world going' option that goes to Andy?
Just a thought...don't want to cause a controversy or anything, but Andy does a lot to keep our addiction going.

Heck, drug dealers make money on what they do...what's the difference??

Thanks Andy, I'm definitely one of the "one forum to rule them all" (or more accurately, concentrate the 914 mojo) - so I'm glad to see World back online!

My stripped down Opera configuration no longer lets me post, but that may be my security settings. Firefox works.

I use Firefox, Linux OS. I haven't experienced being automatically logged off, but then, I typically keep two tabs of World open most of the time.

Sometimes when I click to open a new tab, I get a blank screen. I just close it and start over and it usually opens on the second try.

Sometimes when I click Preview Post it says 'Waiting for 914 World'. I click on Stop and try again. It's taken a few times (at times) to work correctly

Other than that, access to all forums seem to work OK and PMs work OK

So, being an intermittent person at best, WTF happened?

Hmm, fast reply seems to be working for me. Only oddity I've noticed is that if I use the quick login at the top of the forum page, it gives the "thanks for logging, wait to redirect" page, then goes to a blank page. I hafta back all the way out and reload a forum page, tehn it recognizes that I've logged in.

If I click a "login" link to go to the specific login page, ti works fine.

Just before you got World back up, someone robbed my home. They took my laptop with everything They also took my HD camcorder and digital camera so they got some of my back up copies. I am still reloading software and don't know the extent of what was lost. No complete backup in over a year but I did do time to time local backups to dvd.
I am sure all my links are gone and WRX914 invoice spreadsheet...
All this went down the day before I was going to drop $3600 for a Mexico surf trip for 2 to Salina Cruz.
Maybe I will just BBQ in the back yard next weekend.

That was fun.

I can see the sandbox, but get an error message every time it's selected.

Tried 3 times, same fail.

Not sure if you know that's happening.

No joy with cleaning the browser cache. Did it two different ways.

Still get the 914World error page but only on the sandbox.

I am suspecting it's something with posting in the sandbox as I got dumped out mid post a couple of times yesterday.

Ok, cleaned the cache twice more with 2 different programs, rebooted, and got the same Sandbox access problem and a "914world error" page which prevents me from accessing the sandbox.

I can access ONE topic in the sandbox IF it is displayed on the 914 forums page. No other page seems to have this issue,

Responded to one Sandbox topic earlier today, and while responding to another one just now, it dumped me out while I was typing the response. Went to a blank page with:

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?

If my past curse is still working, I can find errors in any software.

I have "save your login" checked, and whenever I come back, the background is gray and I must re-login to get the non-gray background. That may be part of the problem preventing me from accessing the sandbox

That was interesting.

Came to 914 world and the background was grey, and then I seleced 914world garage.

Then, just like the movie the Wizard of Oz, the 914 world garage page opened in Color.

And when I went back, the forums page was in color, and the sandbox forum showed.

But the "914World Error" page still pops up when "the sandbox" is selected.
