914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Plugging Air Injection Ports

Ok, this topic hasn't been talked about yet on this web board..so I'll start.

I know welding the air injection ports on the heads is the best thing to do, but since that is not going to happen for awhile, what's the best band-aid?

SS Bolts or 10mm valve adjuster screws? Are bolts needed to keep the tin in place better?

Plus what is the recommended high temp thread sealant to use to keep these things in place?

Thanks.

Eric,

The simplest method I have seen/used:

End caps for a 944 fuel injection rail. They have a small hole in them that is easily welded. They screw right onto the tubes sticking out of the heads. I havent made any effort to figure out another method. Somebody needs to figure out the threads of the small tube and "find" some caps that we can all purchase.
