Hide yo kids, hide yo wife and hide yo husbands cause it's time again
October 20-21
Party will be on the 20 starting anytime after 10:00 a.m. and going on until the last person passes out. 
Given past events, this most likely will be Hot Shoe or I 
I will provide food and sodas / water. There should be a much better mix of cars this year. 914's 911's Am. rods and restos.
The event will be held at:
106 Roxbury Industrial Park
Charles City Va 23120
Shirt Information!
Shirts are on sale from NOW until Friday, Sept 22.
Cost of a t-shirt will be $15.
Cost of a work shirt will be $30. At the request of our host, work shirts will be a sand / khaki color.
Work shirts INCLUDE the cost of 1 line of embroidery. IE - Your name. Longer messages will cost more.
All shirts will be delivered at the event.
If you need your shirt shipped, that will be an extra fee of $6
Please PM vacca rabite with your order. I will add your name to a list on the first post of this thread.
IF YOU DON'T SEE YOUR NAME, I DON'T KNOW TO ORDER FOR YOU.
You need to tell me if you want a Tee or Work Shirt, Size, and what to have embroidered on the work shirt (IE - your name)

That is one of the 2 weekends I am looking at for the MUSR which will take place in the Bowling Green Kentucky area wich is not a real horrible distance for some of the eastern folks. However, after a couple of times trying to organize these things around everyone's schedules I have found it is just best to book it, do it and wh ever can make it comes and those who can't might have better luck the next year.

That motel is probably OK if you bring your own pillow. It looks like the place in Hershey but it ain't as nice as the place in Hershey.

Pretty sure I am skipping MUSR this year and in place of that I am going to attend the SCCA SOLO Nationals in September and Scotty's party in October. Should be a good time at both places.

Zach - as we get closer to Oct 20 we'll have to coordinate dragging the 911 down to scott's. I should come up to pick up your tow bar - to ensure the 911 will let it work.

I have a shirt design that is going through the 914world check now. When I get approval to use our logo, I'll post the design.
I am looking at local printers and have sent my design off for estimates. I am trying to keep pricing low and aim to sell shirts at my cost.
At the moment I am looking at 2 options for shirts. Either a "Sport Grey" 100% cotton Gildan Tee shirt, or a light grey short sleeve work shirt.
All shirts will be delivered at the event.
I hope to open pre-orders tonight if I hear back soon on printing costs.

I have already stated that I am unable to attend as the event falls on the same week as my Moose hunt. If I don't bring meat home for the winter from the highlands then my people will be forced to go to the grocery store.
Adam was supposed to be shipping BBQ and beer up to me.
I refuse to speak for or to Michael (MDG) as he has failed to upadate his build thread.
That said, we would probably be a lot of fun, and the day that one of these 914 event organizers actually reads and signs our 600 page Rider agreement we will be there.

We are looking to drive the teener down on Friday, and will be looking at hotel options. Most appear to be by the airport. Anybody have any experience with these?
Since the wifey is coming as well, I don't think the local motel is going to fly based on previous description.

We are looking to drive the teener down on Friday, and will be looking at hotel options. Most appear to be by the airport. Anybody have any experience with these?
Since the wifey is coming as well, I don't think the local motel is going to fly based on previous description.
You guys can bunk down in the bed of my truck if you want.

Sounds like a normal reaction to the dc area traffic.

Work shirts INCLUDE the cost of 1 line of embroidery. IE - Your name. Longer messages will cost more.
All shirts will be delivered at the event.

Pretty sure I've got one I can cut out of a scrap exhaust if that'll suit you....

Got it...I'm going to be there for just a couple of hours early Saturday....got a windsurfing race going on that starts at eleven......bringing Buttercup for Mike to drive the AFKASZ he did for me...

I made it to 295/I95 and my accel cable had begun to break which caused the pedal to stick. Tried a few unsuccessful times to fix it and was down to one strand of wire. thought I had an extra cable in car, but didn't. I milked it 50 miles, then 5 miles before my exit it broke. Coasted off the highway and onto the exit ramp, once all momentom was gone I put it in first and let the motor pull it somemore. I was able to drift into a gas station parking and my wife picked me up. Went back and fixed it today and brought it home. Fun exciting trip! It's doctor Evil fault! HAha
Great time at the ECC.

Chris, check your ground strap. If it is not hooked up to the tranz, you will start using your throttle and clutch cables as grounds and they will snap.

Hey Doc, it was a bad angle from the cable anchor to the duel carb arm that caused the wear. I will double check the ground just in case though. Trip home could have been a disaster, but it worked out oK. Good to see you.

Gonna take Buttercup to Roebling Road at Savannah for DarkSide DE event Nov 3/4 & put many shifts on that tranny there...
