914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Fuel line replace, help.

Switching from old messed up FI to a carb.

Do I cap off the return fuel line?

And I would like to do all new fuel line from tank to engine bay.

It's that plastic line, would I just use a rubber line?

And does it snake thru the frame?

I wouldn't use rubber thru the tunnel, buy the stainless steel fuel line's from CFR racing. He's in the vender's section. John

Is it all bent so it fits and is a easy install?

Otherwise what about just standard ss fuel lines?

When I did my SS lines, i just bought straight length of Line and a pipe bender, routed them all myself.

you can get original looking plastic line from industrial suppliers such as Mcmaster.

Please do NOT put plastic line back into the car.

I watched my wife's 914 burn due to bad plastic lines. If you are taking the time and effort to replace the lines, use stainless steel.

http://www.914world.com/specs/tech_fuellines_ss.php is my writeup on how I did the fuel lines in my six conversion. The kit sold by Chris Foley is just as good.

I can sell you one pre bent line in either 8mm or 9.5mm. I have a bunch of other fuel line stuff too.
